Caring as much as you do
is a full time job.
You’d hire exceptional staff. You’d design a space that heals bodies and raises spirits. That’s exactly what we’ve done at Atrium.
We love our team members, and we believe you’ll love them, too. From grief counseling, to midnights on call, to residents and patients who try their own children’s patience, there’s no challenge they can’t handle.
Many have worked with us for years.
The only cookie cutters at Atrium are the ones in the kitchen. Every resident and patient’s needs–physical, emotional and functional–are assessed carefully. Every person is treated differently.
We often seek feedback from families and residents. Families have access to team leaders at high levels, grievances are heard and every employee is a suggestion box.
Of course our bathrooms are easy to negotiate and our stairs are safe. But we go beyond that.
Filtered air to ease breathing
Constant temperatures because seniors are sensitive to temperature changes
Blackout shades because recovering patients need sleep
Soft sheets for sensitive skin
Bright lights help older eyes and raise spirits
Cheerful colors are proven to lift moods
Call buttons just in case
When people have been struggling at home, the freedom they experience here can give them a whole new zest for life. Families join in, too. These are the activities they’d plan for their loved ones, if they could.
Food is love. It’s health, tradition, freedom, good times and family memories. At Atrium, we take every bite seriously. Dieticians may help us plan, but real chefs stir the pot.
The freedom to eat what you want when you want makes everyone feel more independent. So we offer choices on our menus, and make most items to order.
Many items are cooked from scratch every day, with healthy and fresh ingredients. We always try to source locally–sometimes, with bounty from our residents’ garden plots. Plenty of sugar-free, low-fat and low-sodium dishes are available at every meal.
Meals here are usually full table service. Our residents have earned it. Juice and snacks are available all day, so people can keep their blood sugar regulated, their hydration high and their mood happy.
